Elmore County Technical Center was built in 1975, and serves five high schools in the Elmore County area.

A wide variety of programs are offered to all high school students in these five schools. Students can come and take courses in cosmetology, early childhood education, turf management, healthcare, welding, small engines, computer technology, drafting & design, and cabinetmaking. The school is centrally located in Wetumpka, AL. Transportation is provided for all students from their home schools. These courses offer students the unique opportunity to gain skills that will help them in the world of work or in post-secondary education pursuits.
