About the Technical Center

Elmore County Technical Center was built in 1975, and currently serves over 800 students from the four physical high schools and one virtual campus in Elmore County.

A wide variety of programs are offered to students in 10th-12th grades.  Transportation is provided for all students from their base schools to our centrally located campus in Wetumpka.  These courses offer students the unique opportunity to gain skills that will help them in the world of work and/or in post-secondary education pursuits.  Courses are available in Automotive Service Technology, Aviation Technology, Computer Technology, Construction Technology, Electrical Technology, Hospitality & Tourism, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning), Medical Sciences, Plumbing & Pipefitting, Pre-Engineering, Drafting, & Design, Public Safety & Law, Welding Technology.

Students may also take academic and technical college dual enrollment courses through Central Alabama Community College on the ECTC campus.
