About The School

Elmore County Technical Center was built in 1975, and currently serves over 1100 students from the four physical high schools and one virtual campus in Elmore County.

  • The EDGE Virtual School

A wide variety of programs are offered to students in 10th-12th grades.  Transportation is provided for all students from their base schools to our centrally located campus in Wetumpka.  These courses offer students the unique opportunity to gain skills that will help them in the world of work and/or in post-secondary education pursuits.  Courses are available in Automotive Service Technology, Aviation Technology, Computer Technology, Construction Technology, Culinary Arts, Cybersecurity, Diesel Technology, Drafting & Technical Design, Educators in Training, Electrical Technology, Hospitality & Tourism, HVAC, JROTC, Medical Sciences, Plumbing & Pipefitting, Public Safety & Law, and Welding Technology.  Cooperative Education is also based on the ECTC campus.

Students may also take academic and technical college dual enrollment courses through Central Alabama Community College on the ECTC campus.
